15 Aug 5 WAYS TO INCREASE CONFIDENCE AND GET NOTICED
Below are some tips which I thought crucial to share as I’ve been practicing them myself.

1. Your wardrobe
I bet you end up reaching for the same 4-5 clothing pieces every week. Why? Because they make you feel and look good. Evaluate what those pieces are and why you like them. Make a commitment to only purchase those type pieces in the New Year. Not the Hawaiian shirt and pale blue loafers you thought you’d use when you make it to Miami. Your dollar is hard-earned, spend it to get yourself some new threads that make sense.
2. Your body
New year, new you? Three words only, the f*cking foam-roller. Get yourself a yoga mat and a foam roller, immediately. There are a number of badass exercises you can do with the roller that will ease the pain of muscle building, strengthen and lengthen your body, plus it helps prevent injury. Essentially, it’s self-massage that increases blood flow and helps with better muscle movement. Do it pre or post workout or in front of the TV. Changed my life.
3. Make eye contact
Do you look people in the eyes? Or are you one of those shifty types? Making eye contact during conversation is more important than you think. In today’s fast paced, digital world many people are feeling lonely and disconnected from others. This is because there are endless opportunities to engage without actually engaging. So even when you are buying your milk, look that person in the eye, even for a moment. Making a connection through the eyes is a great way to make yourself present, seen, build community, and give you a confidence boost.
4. Your relationships
We absorb and give off energy, both positive and negative. Take a peek at who is around you and how you feel about them, really. It may be you are entertaining toxic relationships with people or places in your life. Or maybe you are the toxic one? Make the new year about identifying and evaluating your relationships and yourself. Heal the ones that are worth keeping, and side-step the ones who are making you unhappy. Trust us, you’ll be a better man in 2015 because of it.
Meditation is all about YOU. There is no reason, not for any man, anywhere, that he cannot find 5 minutes to sit quietly by himself with his eyes closed. Lay on the floor, sit on a chair, cross your legs in full lotus, hey man, whatever works for you. Just remember, the easiest and the most difficult part of meditation is that you have to let it all go. Your boss’ morning email, your lady, yesterday’s game, all thoughts are consciously pushed aside and replaced by other more intangible contemplations. Try these: gratefulness, the way your body feels, what your breathing sounds like, the size of the universe.
