Maintaining Your Beard pt3

  • When it comes to sculpting your beard or facial hair, less is more. In other words, don’t go too crazy with the perfect lines. Work more with your natural shapes, meaning the way your beard grows out.

  • Unless you want to look like you’ve been stranded on a deserted island for a year, you’re going to want to know the right way to sculpt your beard.

  • You’re better off not shaving or sculpting the hair on the cheek line. The border of the beard is best left natural.

  • Beards need a line of separation; otherwise the growth will appear uneven.

  • Keep the edges and borders of your beard neatly trimmed and styled. I recommend using a multi-blade razor to achieve this.

  • If you want to try a few different looks to find out what works best for your face, start with the looks that require the most growth.

  • Don’t try to shape or sculpt the beard too soon in the process. Allow it to grow out loosely for a couple of weeks.

  • Buy a quality beard trimmer with different length settings. Always use clean, sharp razors or trimmer blades so you don’t pull hair or spread bacteria.
